Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree. Three years of administrative experience are required. Additional administrative experience may substitute for the required college education on a year for year basis.
Recruitment Notes
The Special Projects Administrator 1 will report directly to the Assistant Director and serve as the principal administrative coordinator for the Environmental Planning & Integration Office. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and coordinating critical administrative and operational functions, including but not limited to:
Directing and coordinating administrative operations for the Environmental Planning & Integration Office;
Developing, monitoring, and analyzing budgets, expenditures, procurement activities, contracts, and grant-funded initiatives; Coordinating personnel actions including recruitment, onboarding, reclassifications, evaluations, leave administration, training, and workforce planning activities;
Preparing executive correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing materials, and management dashboards;
Coordinating Environmental Quality Control Board agenda materials, legislative tracking, public records requests, and records retention activities;
Serving as liaison with County departments, elected offices, regulatory agencies, vendors, grant agencies, and external stakeholders; and
Leading administrative improvement initiatives, performance management efforts, special projects, and operational process enhancements.
