THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE/GRANT FUNDED.
$25.28 to $27.81 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Part-time/25 hours per week. Work schedule is variable and may include evenings and weekends. Performs skilled professional work assisting in the coordination and administration of specially assigned programs or projects in the Natural Resources Department which have operational responsibility of a moderate scope, a moderate budget, and provides a supplementary county service. Work involves responsibility for coordinating all activities of the Save Our Indian River Lagoon (SOIRL) program and serving as a liaison with other county, state, federal, and community agencies.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Management, Political Science, Social Science, a field related to the area of assignment, or any closely related field PLUS two (2) years of experience in a staff or administrative capacity relating to the area of assignment. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience with grant writing and reporting preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
