Job Description

The SPG Superintendent is responsible for field leadership, coordination, and execution of Special Projects Group construction projects. These projects include tenant improvements, renovations, facility upgrades, occupied-space work, and fast-track design-build projects. The Superintendent ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within quality standards, and in accordance with client expectations.

Description

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules and coordinate subcontractor activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities with clients, facility managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Manage quality control and ensure work meets contract documents and design intent.
  • Conduct daily site walks and maintain project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve field conflicts and constructability issues.
  • Manage material procurement, deliveries, and site logistics.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and project coordination meetings.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to the SPG Project Manager.
  • Complete punch lists and closeout documentation

Profile

  • 1-5+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience.
  • Experience with renovations, tenant interiors, and occupied-space construction.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial building systems and construction methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
