The Opportunity:

As a CACI-Mission & Engineering Services Special Security Representative, you will facilitate and coordinate all aspects of administrative and operational-level special security program management, oversight, and synchronization in support of our military and defense customer base. This position directly supports the Special Security Officer (SSO) in managing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs and physical security infrastructure, requiring deep technical expertise in electronic security systems (ESS), physical security implementation, and personnel security program administration.

Responsibilities:

As a Special Security Representative (SSR), you will be embedded with mission partners to provide critical special security office functional services and ensure the implementation of proper security mitigation strategies. Your in-depth knowledge of special security programs, physical security requirements, and technical access/intrusion control systems as they apply to operational environments will allow you to plan for, integrate, and evaluate security safeguards in support of Special Operations and defense infrastructure.

Your SSR-focused efforts include:

  • Developing, advising, and maintaining comprehensive SCI policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that align with Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), Department of War (DoW) and Air Force security regulations.

  • Overseeing and providing professional recommendations for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction, accreditation, modification, and physical protection mechanisms-including electronic physical security design.

  • Managing, operating, and configuring the Advantor Suite for Networks (ASN) head-end database servers and monitoring consoles to ensure continuous facility intrusion monitoring.

  • Integrating low-voltage Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Automated Access Control Systems (ACS), and CCTV/Video Management Systems (VMS) into day-to-day SCIF operations.

  • Performing system maintenance and diagnostics on electronic security hardware, including programming, servicing, and troubleshooting Premise Control Units (PCUs), field sensors, and head-end servers.

  • Reading and interpreting security specifications, schematic wiring diagrams, and facility floor plans to maintain compliance with DoW/Air Force physical security standards.

  • Analyzing alarm event logs, diagnosing false versus true security triggers, and running routine preventive maintenance diagnostics on integrated physical security equipment.

  • Conducting and tracking initial SCI indoctrinations, annual refresher training, foreign travel briefings, and debriefings in accordance with policy requirements.

  • Processing SCI access nominations, managing personnel security records, and conducting random and self-inspections to ensure continuous program compliance.

  • Managing visitor control operations, processing clearance verifications, and maintaining physical and electronic SCI visitor logs using secure databases and web-based portals.

  • Coordinating and integrating Special Access Programs (SAP) and compartmented security protocols into day-to-day SCIF operations and planning efforts.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with eligibility for a Polygraph examination.

  • A minimum of eight (8) years of overall security experience, with at least four (4) years of specialized experience in special security programs (SCI/SAP) and physical security operations.

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, OR an equivalent combination of formal education and professional training in Special Security program requirements from an accredited Federal or DoD educational institution (covering physical security, Special Security, and Special Access Programs).

  • Hands-on technical proficiency with Advantor Suite for Networks (ASN) software, including system configuration, database server administration, and monitoring console management.

  • Direct working knowledge and troubleshooting capability with Advantor field hardware, including Premise Control Units (PCUs), low-voltage IDS sensors, ACS readers, and integrated CCTV systems.

  • Demonstrated experience aligning facility security with DoW and Air Force physical security standards, ICD 705 requirements, approved alarm rates, and technical compliance frameworks.

  • Ability to understand and work with security transmission protocols across serial communications, IP-based pathways, and LAN/WAN network architectures.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and maintain security schematics, wiring diagrams, and facility engineering blueprints.

  • Strong detail orientation with proven capability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including drafting official correspondence and conducting briefings for leadership.

  • Capability to work independently with minimal government oversight and collaborate effectively in a joint working environment.

Desired:

  • Direct experience operating or maintaining security systems within Air Force or DoW command-and-control environments, Special Operations, or Joint Service facilities.

  • Experience in military or Intelligence Community (IC) compartmented activities (IJSTO, SAP, ACCM, etc.).

  • Experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF), Special Mission Units (SMUs), or specialized defense activities.

  • Practical understanding and capability to perform administrative tasks using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
