How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Specialist, Corporate Sales Development role is responsible for the development and management of corporate sales incentive programs and strategies designed to maximize the revenue and market share performance for our portfolio of global corporate accounts.
Position is based in New York, NY
- This role serves as the primary liaison between the front-line Field Sales team and the various commercial departments in support of all corporate sales program related matters.
- The Specialist will own a large scope of Global corporate accounts managing their contract renewals and RFPs, collaborating with airline partners to create a comprehensive deal to maximize Delta's market position and profit.
- This role will oversee identifying opportunities to increase revenue, shift market share, reduce costs and improve business processes for their scope.
- This role will also own performance management analysis and reporting including financial analysis of corporate program effectiveness.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- General knowledge of Delta's markets and competitive market position, sales strategies, programs, processes, tools and infrastructure is highly desirable; travel industry sales/marketing experience is a plus.
- Must be solution-oriented, multi-task capable and have demonstrated the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment.
- Demonstrates initiative and is a self-starter.
- Should possess strong analytical skills, sound organizational and planning skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to make sound business decisions.
- Ability to negotiate and build compelling stories to drive Delta's strategy forward.
- Highly proficient PC skills including advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Power Point are required.
- Working knowledge of Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
- This position requires occasional travel.
- Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Work experience preferred Bachelor's degree in a business or analytical discipline or equivalent
- Experience in Global Sales, Revenue Management, or similar cross-commercial role
- Knowledge of Delta's markets and competitive position as well as Sales strategies, programs, and infrastructure
