Job Purpose
The Compliance Specialist role is critical to ensuring our organization meets global product regulatory compliance requirements. This position will support various regulatory programs, including EU Deforestation, EU Battery Regulation, PFAS, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, WEEE, and Conflict Minerals. The Compliance Specialist I will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to manage compliance data, mitigate risks, and support sustainable product development.

Education / Training
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in regulatory compliance, product stewardship, or a related area preferred.

Regulatory Compliance Support
• Ensure compliance with global product regulations (EU Deforestation, EU Battery Regulation, PFAS, REACH, RoHS, TSCA, WEEE, Conflict Minerals).
• Monitor regulatory updates and assist in implementing necessary changes to compliance processes.
Risk Mitigation
• Minimize risks to the enterprise by ensuring timely and accurate compliance with global regulatory requirements.
• Identify and escalate potential compliance risks or gaps.
Supplier Engagement & Data Management
• Support the PC&S team with supplier RAPID forms:
• Manage new data requests.
• Handle escalation requests.
• Resolve issues with invalid supplier email addresses.
• Validate supplier-provided data and ensure completeness and accuracy.
Failure Notification Process
• Validate reported compliance failures with suppliers.
• Collaborate with product engineers to resolve issues.
• Ensure closure of failure notifications within 90 days.
Regulatory Reporting
• Support annual SCIP submissions.
• Assist with monthly WEEE reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit readiness.
Qualifications and Experience
• Familiarity with global product compliance regulations (REACH, RoHS, TSCA, etc.).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
• Experience with compliance platforms (e.g., Assent, SAP EH&S, or similar).
• Knowledge of SCIP database and WEEE reporting processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength - This position is primarily performed in a standard office environment and involves occasional standing and walking. Heavy lifting is uncommon but may be required in limited circumstances.
• Motion - Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated with office communications. May require occasional bending, lifting, standing, walking, etc.
• Vision/Hearing Requirements - The position requires the ability to effectively communicate verbally and receive information in person, by telephone, and in industrial environments. These essential communication functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work Environment This position is primarily office-based in a controlled environment. When supporting operations outside the office, the role will require the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular visits to industrial facilities are required and may involve exposure to; Noise levels exceeding 85 decibels; Temperature extremes (approximately 0°F to 100°F)
