Specialist III - School-Based Health Partnerships JobID: 7607 Position Type: Leading District Professional/Specialist - District ProfessionalDate Posted: 9/24/2026Location: FAMILY AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE Closing Date: 10/08/2026 Additional Information: Show/HideSpecialist III - School Based Health Partnerships Reports to: Director, School-Based Health PartnershipsSalary Range: $73,781-$88,892Pay Grade: 204Duty Days: 219PCN: 20111FLSA Status: Exempt This is a grant-funded position and is contingent on availability of funds.POSITION PURPOSELeads collaboration among health partnerships between the District (Student Support Services, Health Services, and School Leadership) and various community partners to facilitate efficient and effective expansion of campus-based services -dental, physical, and behavioral. The Specialist is directly responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of healthcare services, child and family educational support systems, coordination with the medical professionals of the school-based health care centers and integration and collaboration of district and community initiatives that directly impact the social and emotional wellbeing of students as well as student achievement. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSProgram Management Works directly with the district departments to coordinate mobile health services to targeted campuses or district locations.Provides training and support to FWISD School Nurses and Health Assistants at targeted campus.Serves as the FWISD liaison for all health partners, including but not limited to UNTHSC, Goodside Health, and Children's Oral Health Coalition partners.Provides coordination and planning for campus and community health events to maximize the number of students served across FWISD.Plans and organizes full project implementation through orientation and communication of expectations and goals to the District, campus and community stakeholders.Monitors health partnership activities through the implementation of regular communication with staff and internal/external stakeholders.Identifies problems and generates solutions, through collaborative discussions in recurring meetings with health partners.Designs and implements the Health Partnership Action Plan, outlining annual timelines and milestones.Organizes and directs regularly scheduled meetings with associated grant committees to review the progress of work, discuss solutions to problems, and generate action plans. Monitoring & Compliance Responsible for providing copies of, and distribution of documents, including the original Request for Application (RFA), for grant personnel; including individuals in the business office, District offices, and related grant program areas.Engages with local decision-making committees and other appropriate state and federal programs to maximize the effectiveness of the grant.Identifies additional resources to carry out grant project activities as needed.Facilitates development and implementation of effective and efficient assessment systems, and data collection processes, that provide a record of baseline measures and tracks longitudinal trends.Prepares and submits all reports and data regarding the assigned programs.Provides regular feedback to stakeholders regarding the status of projects or issues.Maintains electronic files of all program related activity.Facilitates and coordinates the reporting and approval process to District administrators.Professional Learning Community Provides regular updates of program activities and services to appropriate audiences.Collaborates with District departments to coordinate and implement programs that support the special needs of all student populations.Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in healthcare, and education sectors by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research. Responds and acts appropriately in confrontational situations. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSTravel between schools, or between schools and central offices, may be required for certain positions. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS. WORK HAZRDS Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals.Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program or Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist PhD from an accredited college or university.Experience: Five to eight years of related experience working with children, adolescents and families in a clinical or school setting.Experience in coordinating and supervising services provided to children and families in elementary and/or secondary school setting desirable.Certification: Possess a valid Texas professional licensure in at least one of the following:Valid Registered Nurse licensed (RN)Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW)Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.
