As a member of the Measurement & Learning Product Management team, within Pearson's School Assessment organization, the Advanced Specialist, Product Specialist serves as a critical bridge between product development and go-to-market success. Specialist, Product Specialists are recognized as subject matter experts (SMEs) across Measurement & Learning products. They are responsible for translating product capabilities into clear, accurate, and impactful content, training, and enablement resources that ensure internal teams-and ultimately educators-can effectively understand and use our solutions. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role leads initiatives that directly influence product adoption, implementation fidelity, and customer value. Product Specialists partner across Product, Sales, Proposals, Marketing, Professional Learning (PL), Partner Success, and Support to ensure all audiences have consistent, high-quality, and actionable product knowledge. This role is for someone who: + Is a trusted expert in their product space and sought out for guidance + Thrives at translating complex product capabilities into clear, usable content + Takes initiative and independently drives high-impact work + Balances precision and scalability in content, training, and communication + Anticipates needs across teams and proactively closes knowledge gaps + Is passionate about improving educator and student outcomes through better product understanding **Product Enablement & Professional Learning** + Create foundational training and professional learning assets (e.g., content outlines, storyboards, decks, facilitator guides, talk tracks) that support scalable delivery + Partner with Instructional Design to develop and maintain asynchronous courses and learning experiences + Deliver live product training sessions and provide ongoing Q&A support to internal teams **Help & Knowledge Management** + Develop and maintain help resources, including FAQs, how-to guides, release notes, and quick-start materials for educators, administrators, and internal teams + Own and evolve the vision for a unified help library within the PALS integrated solution + Drive governance of knowledge-base content to ensure accuracy, consistency, discoverability, and timeliness **Product Expertise & Cross-Functional Support** + Serve as a product SME in support of RFP responses, ensuring accuracy and clarity during peak district procurement cycles + Partner with Marketing on messaging tied to product features and professional learning + Support Sales, Proposals, PL Delivery, and Partner Success teams with clear guidance on product use, positioning, and enhancements **Content & Operational Excellence** + Create and manage ISBNs, ensuring proper assignment, metadata integrity, and compliance with internal cataloging processes + Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and consistency across all content and deliverables + Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and content workflows Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: **Product Expertise & Translation** + Develop deep expertise in Measurement & Learning products, user workflows, and use cases + Translate complex product functionality into clear, actionable, audience-specific content + Ensure consistency of messaging and understanding across all customer-facing teams **Content Development & Instructional Design** + Create high-quality, engaging learning materials for diverse audiences + Apply instructional design principles to ensure effective knowledge transfer + Structure content for both synchronous and asynchronous delivery **Collaboration & Influence** + Partner effectively across Product, Marketing, Sales, Proposals, PL, Partner Success, and Support + Influence without authority by providing trusted expertise and clear guidance + Mentor peers and contribute to shared best practices **Execution & Quality** + Manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail + Ensure deliverables meet high standards for accuracy, clarity, and usability + Anticipate risks and proactively address gaps in content or communication Qualifications **Required** + Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or related field + 3-5+ years of experience developing professional learning, training materials, or product documentation + Demonstrated experience creating high-quality instructional and enablement materials + Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills **Preferred** + Expertise in MTSS, behavioral, formative, and/or interim assessment practices + Experience working in K-12 education or edtech environments + Experience supporting go-to-market efforts (e.g., RFPs, sales enablement, training) What You'll Get + The opportunity to shape how educators understand and use a category-defining assessment platform + A highly collaborative, mission-driven team + The autonomy to lead impactful initiatives across product and go-to-market + The chance to directly influence classroom outcomes through better product adoption and use Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows: The minimum full-time salary range is between $75,000 - $80,000.
