Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) engineering is an organization within Schwab Technology Services aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS), the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-Party Platform teams. Wealth Management Engineering (WME), an organization within WAM Engineering, provides support to WAS which is a growth area for Schwab.

• Junior-Level developer with a capable of interpreting functional and data requirements to build API & full stack solutions for Manager Source and SMAC, and MAS Center applications

• Core member of a scrum team capable of handling QA functions such as building automated test suites and conducting manual QA tasks.

• Contribute to data flow analysis and development utilizing .Net Core, database programming, scripting tools, and core data layer processing.

What you have

Required Skills:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience

• 1-2 years of experience managing the software development lifecycle with capabilities including C#, HTML5, Angular/Backbone, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, responsive web design, & design patterns

• 1 year of Schwab technology domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee

• Experience in the Managed Accounts Operations Area focusing on enhancing efficiencies to scale various Schwab’s managed accounts products

• Experience with Atlassian toolset including JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, & Confluence

• Knowledge of T-SQL module development including stored procedures and basic query tuning in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher

• Ability to manage assignments against time-sensitive project deadlines.

• Experience participating in the software development lifecycle leveraging the latest methodologies and industry applicable technologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or similar agile practices. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Desired Complementary Skills:

• Experience with Atlassian toolset including JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo, & Confluence

• Experience processing or producing XML, XSD and XSL

• Experience developing applications using C#/Java
