Are you a literacy advocate who sees the potential in every learner? We're looking for a leader at Random Lake Elementary School who can blend the heart of Special Education with the art of reading instruction. The Specialized Learning & Literacy Strategist will have a dual role in which they are able to provide research based reading instruction to some while also supporting students with a wide range of abilities reach their individual goals.

This role bridges the gap between general education literacy requirements and the individualized goals outlined in a student's IEP.

What We Expect: The Ideal Teammate

  • A deep understanding of systematic, explicit phonics and morphology
  • The ability to lead Tier 3 reading groups that move the needle for struggling readers
  • Adept at using diagnostic data to isolate specific reading gaps and bridge them with evidence based instruction
  • The organizational skills to manage a cross-categorical caseload and lead IEP meetings with confidence and empathy
  • Proven success in bridging the gap between clinical data and classroom practice, ensuring parents and staff are aligned on specific, measurable student outcomes
