Students in the Specialized programs are identified as students with Developmental Delay, Intellectual Impairment, Communication, Autism, or other complex learning needs. Students may have challenges in their academic, language/communication, social, self-help, and behavior skill development. All students require intensive, highly specialized and individualized instruction and support to access learning.
Program Description: Students in substantially separate programs support grade 9-12 and postgraduate (ages 18-22) students with intensive special education needs. Students require a small group learning environment with a low student to staff ratio. This position requires assisting teachers in the classroom with a wide range of student needs, both academic and behavioral. The individual must have the ability to collaborate with teachers regarding student progress academically and provide individualized instruction.
