Specialty Care Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Endocrinology

Position Summary

• The Specialty Nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide clinical care and support department partnerships to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• The Specialty Nurse demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life-span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information required to identify needs of the patient relative to his/her age and condition.
• The Specialty Nurse possesses specialized knowledge, skills and training to provide care to patients with complex pathology and operates at a higher level with larger amounts of autonomy than a Staff Nurse in ECU Health's Specialty Clinics.

Minimum Requirements

• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Current license as a RN in the state of North Carolina.
• Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice.
• Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 3+ years directly related specialty experience
• Pediatric experience is preferred
• Management of diabetic care is preferred
• CDE (Certified Diabetic Educator) is preferred

Pay Range

• Specialty Care RN salary range > $68806.40 - $100294.48
• Final compensation is determined at the offer stage.

• Location/Department: ECU Health Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic (outpatient) - Greenville, NC
• This position is full-time (40hrs/week) - Flexible Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with rotating education time at the hospital (3-4hrs)
• No nights, weekends, call or holidays
