Dedicated to serving those who defend the US and warfighters, Nisga’a MOSTT offers Military Operations support and Specialized Tactical Training (MOSTT). Nisga’a MOSTT’s services include aviation and military training, cybersecurity, intelligence gathering and analysis, and simulation and exercise support, as well as aviation flight logistics support and unmanned aerial vehicle support.  

 

Summary:

The Specialty of School Instructor will provide support for the Naval Construction Training Center located in Gulfport, MS.

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Follow established training curricula to ensure alignment with DoD training objectives.
  • Recommend updates to training materials based on emerging technologies, field requirements, and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of training schedules, lesson plans, and evaluation tools.
  • Assess student performance through written tests, practical evaluations, and oral reviews.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students, supporting their professional growth.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate training records in compliance with military and organizational requirements.
  • Collaborate with other instructors, training coordinators, and military personnel to ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • In-depth knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with Navy construction protocols and Seabee operations (preferred).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use training aids, multimedia tools, and simulation technologies effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Shall have a broad knowledge and experience in construction planning and estimating, project execution, and project management. In addition, instructor shall have a working knowledge of tool repair and maintenance of hand and power tools including carpentry shop equipment.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
