Position Title: Specialty Operator
Production Associate
Pay Rate:
$22/hr. up to $24/hr.
Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up, and operate machine to meet customer order requirements
Inspect and remove defective products
Verify that orders are accurate prior to preparing for shipment
Preventative maintenance
Verift quality
Operate the Clamp truck safety performing the task
Select proper rolls from inventory for production
Verify Size
Verify Grade
Verify Width
Inspect & slab down damaged rolls
Deliver rolls to the machine in proper unwind direction
Return unused butt roll to inventory
Keep roll stock organized
Prepare required production reports
Complete forklift/clamp inspection checklist before shift
Perform operator PM schedule and properly maintain records
Report maintenance issue using the work ord

Qualification
Basic maintenance skills
Ability to read and use ruler
Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
LANGUAGE SKILLS Be able to communicate with supervisors and understand simple instructions. Be able to read and understand operator's manual (Accommodations will be made to employees). Employee must also be able to write work orders and fill out necessary production paperwork.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must be able to add and subtract basic fractions (5+5). Be able to use a calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplying and dividing.
REASONING ABILITY Be able to isolate and solve basic mechanical problems - Basic machine troubleshooting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Employee must be able to lift up to 50-75 pounds from the ground above the head. This job requires some stooping, twisting and turning, repetitive wrist and hand motions including gripping, and standing on your feet all day. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
WORK EVNIRONMENT Employee must wear protective glasses, safety vest, earplugs and steel toe shoes. The plant is generally clean of debris and clutter but the manufacturing process generates a fair amount of dust. There are hazardous materials in the manufacturing process (see MSDS book). The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
