Job Title: Specimen Technician Job Location: Chantilly, VA- 20151 Job Duration: 3+ Months of contract + extension/ Temp to Hire 3 Shifts Available: Tues - Sat, 01:00 PM - 09:30 PM EST. Tues - Sat, 10:00 PM - 06:30 AM EST. Tues - Sat, 07:00 PM - 03:30 AM EST. Job Description: The Specimen Processor is responsible for handling and processing a variety of biological samples, including blood, urine, stool, plasma, and other bodily fluids. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Receive, sort, and label specimens accurately. Perform centrifugation and aliquoting of samples as required. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of specimens. Enter patient and specimen data accurately into the system. Maintain specimen integrity by following proper handling procedures. Adhere to all safety, compliance, and quality standards in a biohazard environment. Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with regulations. Qualifications: Experience handling biological samples in a laboratory or clinical setting. Strong data entry and documentation skills. Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of specimen handling, labeling, and processing procedures.
