Position Overview

As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), provide specialized instruction, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and ensure students receive the support they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to each student's learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, therapists, and parents.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Implement classroom management strategies that promote student success.
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid Colorado Special Education Teaching Certificate/License.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities.
