The Neenah Joint School District is seeking applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), district-wide Speech and Language Pathologist starting with the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated professional who is available to begin on August 25, 2026. Must hold or be eligible for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certification in Speech and Language Pathology in the appropriate grade level.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the communication needs of students within our district. The ideal candidate will work with students to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders. This position requires a strong commitment to promoting student success, collaboration with teachers and parents, and an understanding of the educational environment.
Job Details
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students to evaluate communication disorders, including speech articulation, language delays, fluency, and voice issues.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, either individually or in small groups, in accordance with IEP goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other school professionals to develop and implement strategies that support students' communication needs in the classroom.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary to meet IEP goals.
- Counsel and provide training to parents and teachers on speech and language development, therapy techniques, and how to support students' needs at home and in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all students receiving speech therapy services, including progress notes, IEP documentation, and other required reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and team discussions as part of the student's educational planning and support process.
- Stay informed about the latest research, therapy techniques, and educational trends related to speech and language development.
- Support the school community by providing resources and promoting awareness of communication disorders.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- License: Must hold or be eligible for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) certification in Speech and Language Pathology in the appropriate grade level.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting, including knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
- Strong understanding of the impact of speech and language disorders on academic performance and social development.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities, autism, or other special needs.
