Speech and Language Pathologist

The Bangor School District is seeking candidates for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Speech and Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year and beyond. Due to rising case loads, this would be a second FTE and actual assignment and case load will be dicided with administration and current SLP. The position will include serving as a case manager and provider for students with disabilities.

Applicants also must be competent in the following:

• Have the ability to work with students age 3-21 in screening, evaluating, diagnosing & treating disorders of communication.
• Have the ability to cooperate in a multi-disciplinary setting with other district and non-district staff on behalf of children with disabilities.
• Have an understanding of the IEP team process and the ability to assist in the evaluation and programming for children with disabilities including direct and indirect services in both general and special education environments.
• Ability to interact and communicate professionally, effectively and courteously with students, parents and staff.
• Have knowledge of special education law and paperwork working within timeline requirements.
• Ability to forge positive relationships with the students and parents / guardians of students.
