Suring Public Schools is seeking a collaborative, student-centered Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a rural, student-centered community. The SLP will work with students at the elementary and secondary levels and join a dedicated team focused on supporting the academic, social, emotional, and communication needs of all learners.

Job Goal
The Speech and Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat students who qualify for speech and language services. The SLP will develop and implement IEPs using best practices in speech therapy, provide services in the least restrictive environment, monitor student progress, and collaborate with staff and families to support student success.
Responsibilities
Provide screening, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.
Support students with articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, pragmatics, and cognitive communication needs.
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans aligned with student goals.
Schedule and prioritize services to effectively meet student needs and IEP requirements.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, administrators, and outside providers to support student growth.
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and required documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines.
Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs as appropriate.
Foster positive relationships with students and families through open communication and collaboration.
Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective practices to continually improve service delivery.
Attend required meetings, trainings, and educational sessions.

Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid Wisconsin Speech and Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
DPI certification/license or eligibility.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but not required for CF candidates.
Experience working in a school setting preferred.
Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with AAC and a wide range of communication disorders preferred.
Physical Requirements
This work regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and occasionally requires pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating equipment. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas and hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communication. Work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and observing general surroundings and activities. The work environment is generally in a moderately noisy school setting.
