    Title- SLP -Speech and Language Pathologist
    Location: Smyrna, TN 37167
    Duration: Through 12/18/2026 with the possibility of extension
    Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)

    Job Overview : This long-term opportunity is available for an immediate start and focuses on supporting students with disabilities as they prepare to enter the workforce.

    The Speech and Language Pathologist will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), and other professionals, to provide individualized communication support and help students succeed in both classroom and vocational training environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • · Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (OT/PT/ST) to develop and implement student support strategies.
    • · Provide speech and language services to students enrolled in various vocational Areas of Study (AOS).
    • · Develop classroom strategies that improve information processing, communication, social skills, attention to task, and overall participation.
    • · Recommend accommodations to support speech, language, communication, social interaction, and the ability to follow multi-step instructions.
    • · Provide hands-on support alongside instructors during vocational training activities.
    • · Assist students at internship and work-based learning sites by recommending communication strategies and appropriate accommodations.
    • · Conduct speech-language evaluations, screenings, and assessments as needed.
    • · Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with faculty, therapists, and staff to support student success.
    • · Provide coverage for other therapists when required.

    Qualifications

    • · Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
    • · Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license (or eligibility for licensure in Tennessee).
    • · Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
    • · School-based, vocational rehabilitation, or special education experience is a plus.
    • · Strong interpersonal, communication, assessment, and collaboration skills.
    • · Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
