The Center for Development and Disability CDD established in 1990 is New Mexicos University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education Research and Service.
These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to be part of an interdisciplinary team providing developmental and diagnostic evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults.
This position requires experience in the evaluation and treatment of autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, familiarity with state systems of care.
Effective oral and written communications skills are required to share evaluation findings and recommendations to families and other providers.
The position requires knowledge and experience with standard evaluation methods as well as informal assessment for language, speech, and social communication.
The position also provides opportunities for clinical instruction and supervision, training, and consultation.
This position requires some in-state travel.
