Job Description:
We are looking for a Speech Language Assistant to join our team and work alongside the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech, language, and hearing screenings, while supporting individuals in reaching their full communication potential.
This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative clinical environment, contribute to the assessment process, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of those receiving services. Responsibilities may include assisting with screenings, preparing materials, documenting observations, and supporting the implementation of communication-focused interventions under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree preferred, in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or Communication Disorders from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Speech language Pathology
NH SLA Certification from the NH Office of Professional License and Certification
One (1) to three (3) years' experience working as an SLA or experience working with children preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Essential Responsibilities:
NOTE: All duties are to be implemented as prescribed, directed and supervised by a New Hampshire licensed SLP. Documented supervision will consist of no less than 10% of direct time per week (on-site, in view) and 5% indirect time per week.
Assist the Speech/language pathologist with speech/language and hearing screenings without making interpretations.
Perform speech therapy as directed by Individual Education Plans developed by a licensed SLP.
Document client performance (charts, records, graphs) and report data to the supervising SLP to track client progress and quality improvement.
Assist SLP with clerical duties (preparing therapy materials, scheduling activities etc.).
Assist with departmental operations such as maintaining supplies and equipment and a safe work area.
Attend parent meetings with a Licensed SLP.
Assist the SLP with in service training and a public relations program
. Participate in staff development, attend meetings, and attend in-services as scheduled. Work at multiple sites.
Hours: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM
