Are you a passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who thrives in community-based work and loves helping children reach their full potential?
Developmental Pathways (DP) is seeking an SLP in our Early Intervention (EI) department, who will provide therapy services in children's natural environments or via telehealth. This role will be responsible for adhering to the EI guidelines, documentation, and funding requirements.
This role will also collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) for children on their caseload.
This is a community-based role, averaging 5-6 client visits per day, 40 hours per week, Monday-Thursday. The focus is on building relationships and providing developmental support. The position primarily serves Douglas County-one day each in Parker, Castle Pines, and Castle Rock, with occasional visits to Aurora. You'll need to hold (or be willing to obtain) Colorado SLP licensure.
Additional Responsibilities
Use the Primary Service Provider Model to team with other therapeutic disciplines, service coordinators, and caregivers to develop and implement functional goals and strategies to enhance the child's development
Support categorical assessments and initial Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) development for children who are categorically eligible for Early Intervention services
Adhere to Medicaid regulations when this is a funding source (i.e. EVV)
Help families determine priorities for service
Perform standardized or play-based assessments and complete all required documentation of child's progress toward IFSP goals
Perform consultative visits either alone or consultation with other team members, as appropriate
Develop and maintain working case files per department policies and procedures
Submit billing and supporting documentation timely
Partner with service coordinators, Child Find teams, and other community partners who serve young children to deliver early intervention services
Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions to children age 0-36 months with speech/communication, language, hearing, voice, and feeding/swallowing deficits
May be asked to participate in the supervision of clinical fellowship year (CFY) through CFY Program
Speech Language Pathologists can earn credentialing on the job. As a result, there are certain job duties regarding billing and evaluations that Speech Language Pathologists must perform with supervisor review & approval

Early InterventionThis program serves families with children 0 – 3 years old. Our Early Intervention Service Coordinators partner with local school districts to perform initial evaluations and assess a child’s development allowing us to provide them and their families with the tools to help them reach their full potential. We also have a dedicated team of Occupational, Speech and Physical Therapists consisting of both in-house and independent contractors. |
Case ManagementCase Management is a collaborative processes of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation and advocacy. Our Case Managers and Case Management Specialists take a person-centered approach in assisting those we serve and their families in living a more meaningful life. We strive to empower individuals to have control of their lives and make safe and informed choices. |
Community OutreachOur supportive Coordinators in the Community Outreach Department are dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of the individuals and families we serve by helping them to navigate a variety of resources, offering trainings on a variety of topics, holding resource fairs and connecting them with services through our Family Support Services Program. |
