Speech & Language Pathologist (2026-27 SY)

Position Overview

The Weston Public Schools is seeking to hire a Speech & Language Pathologist for the 2026-27 school year. This is a full-time role supporting Country and Woodland Elementary Schools (grades PreK-3). About the Weston Public Schools

The Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2,000 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school district includes a high school for grades 9-12, a middle school for grades 6-8, an upper elementary school for grades 4-5, and two lower elementary schools for pre-kindergarten through grade 3. Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) - a voluntary school integration program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The Weston METCO program enrolls approximately 150 students (K-12).

Key Responsibilities

• Embrace the diversity of the Weston Public Schools by fostering an environment of respect and inclusion
• Provide consultation to teachers on the development of language
• Assist teachers in developing language-based classroom activities
• Provide individual services to children with speech and/or language disabilities
• Assess needs in the areas of speech, language, and hearing
• Prepare diagnostic reports
• Serve as a member of a team that will develop an individual education programs
• Other such duties as assigned by the Building Principals or the Director of Student Services

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree
• Massachusetts license for Speech Language and Hearing Disorders
• Experience supporting students with special needs in a diverse public school setting preferred

Compensation and Benefits

This is a school-year role, 184 days, represented by the Weston Education Association, and entitled to the same salary schedule as teachers and other professional staff. Additionally, the Weston Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including subsidized health insurance and participation in the Massachusetts Teachers'' Retirement System.
