Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – 3514282
Location: Orange, NJ
A Skilled Nursing Facility in Orange, NJ is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide evaluation and treatment services to short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents. This is a full-time, permanent role requiring prior experience in a Skilled Nursing or post-acute setting.
The SLP will work with medically complex residents, focusing on dysphagia management, cognitive-communication therapy, and functional speech interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide dysphagia management and perform bedside swallowing evaluations
- Deliver cognitive-communication and speech/language therapy
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with Medicare guidelines
- Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings
- Support safe discharge planning and continuity of care
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and rehab teams
Required Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute rehab setting required
- Strong experience with dysphagia management
- Working knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B documentation standards
- Ability to manage a productive caseload in a SNF environment
- Strong interdisciplinary communication skills
