    Description

    Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

    Salary Range: $40-$42.50 per hour

    Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, flexible schedule including weekends as needed. Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday.

    Employment Type: Permanent

    Location: 180-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities

    - Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals

    - Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing skills

    - Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed

    - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients

    - Educate patients and their families on speech and swallowing strategies and techniques

    - Maintain accurate and timely patient records

    - Stay current with latest research and techniques in the field of speech language pathology

    Qualifications:

    - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

    - Current state license or eligible for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist

    - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

    - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a skilled nursing facility

    - Strong knowledge and understanding of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders

    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    - Flexibility to work weekends as needed
