Some SLPA jobs advertise attractive per-visit rates. But the number on the job posting doesn't always tell you what your workweek or paycheck will actually look like.
At Dallas Reading & Language Services, you work in one clinic instead of driving from client to client. You're paid for a guaranteed 40-hour workweek, and cancellations or openings in your schedule don't suddenly reduce your hourly paycheck.
Your full-time employment package includes: • 40 paid hours per week

START WITH STABILITY. GROW FROM THERE. Unlicensed SLPAs entering the profession start at $16/hour after we help get them their license. As you successfully progress in the position, the first-year pay path is:
• Start: $16/hour
• 3 months: $17/hour
• 6 months: $18/hour
• 9 months: $19/hour
• 12 months: $20/hour
Your hourly paycheck is the foundation, not the ceiling.
Once you exceed 40 productivity units in a week, you earn an additional $20 for each unit above 40.
45 units = regular paycheck + $100 productivity bonus
Qualifying preparation and support work can also count toward productivity. Team bonuses provide another opportunity to share in the practice's success.
A JOB THAT DOESN'T FOLLOW YOU AROUND
This is a clinic-based position. You come to one location, work with your clients, collaborate with your team, and go home. You aren't spending your day driving between homes, schools, or other treatment locations.
You'll have structured onboarding, ongoing SLP supervision, and support with treatment planning, data collection, documentation, and clinical decision-making.
We want you spending your energy becoming a stronger clinician, not worrying about whether today's cancellations changed your paycheck.
PLANNING ON GRADUATE SCHOOL? The last two SLPAs from our practice who applied to graduate programs within the past year were both accepted and are now continuing their path toward becoming SLPs.
Their clinical experience here, along with recommendations based on their work, helped strengthen their applications.

WHAT YOU'LL DO • Provide pediatric speech, language, and reading therapy under SLP supervision
• Implement individualized treatment plans
• Collect data and monitor progress
• Prepare therapy materials and complete documentation
• Collaborate with supervising SLPs and clinic team members
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
• Texas SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one
• Spanish-English bilingual skills strongly preferred
• Dependable, organized, and eager to learn
• Enjoys working with children
• Reliable transportation
• Full-time weekday availability, including afternoons and early evenings
