Description:
Provides speech, voice, and language therapy for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, designs and implements appropriate remedial programs. Conducts diagnostic evaluations, interprets assessment results, prepares reports, and makes recommendations and referrals as needed. Collects, maintains, and reports diagnostic and progress-monitoring data in compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements. Serves on school-based teams, including Admissions and Release Committees (ARC). Assists in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborates with teachers and related service providers to support students speech and language development. Maintains professional knowledge of current research and best practices. Performs other duties as assigned.
