Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist SLP to join our school district&rsquos special services team. The SLP will support students with communication disorders that impact their educational performance collaborating closely with educators families and other specialists to ensure student success.Reports to Director of Special ProgramsResponsibilitiesprovide speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders.Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility for services.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs IEPs in collaboration with educators and families.Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or small group settings.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of services progress and compliance activities.Adhere to all applicable state and federal laws including IDEA and Section 504 regulations.Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.Consult with teachers staff and families to support students&rsquo language development and classroom success.Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality in all interactions.Maintain and submit monthly Medicaid records for those students eligible for Medicaid reimbursement.Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as may be determined.QualificationsMasters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.Valid Washington State ESA Certification as a School Speech and Language PathologistExperience working in a school setting is a plus.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
