The Health Center at Standifer Place is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship candidate (CFY) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, families, and rehabilitation professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Speech Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs

• Provide evidence-based speech therapy services, including dysphagia and swallowing treatment, in accordance with accepted clinical standards

• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, social workers, families, and rehabilitation professionals

• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient reviews

• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment goals and progress

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

• Ensure compliance with applicable state, federal, Medicare, and reimbursement requirements

• Contribute to positive patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care


Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications


Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program

• Current Tennessee Speech Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or healthcare settings

• Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia and swallowing disorders

• Knowledge of Medicare and third-party reimbursement documentation requirements

• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams
