This is a full-time, on-site role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Dalton, GA.
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Position Details
- Full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week)
- 2026–2027 school year (August 2026 through May 2027)
- Serving students in Kindergarten through 8th grade
- Assignment split between two school buildings
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
- Participate in case management responsibilities, as assigned
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records

Requirements
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
- State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
- Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
- National License: ASHA
- Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- CF-SLP placement may be available
- Experience working with children
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.

This position requires the ability to actively participate in classroom and school environments throughout the day.
