Speech Language Pathologist
Location: UCHealth Yampa Valley Med Center, USCO, Steamboat Springs
Department: YVMC Sports Medicine
FTE: Full Time (0.8 - 64.00 hours per pay period, 2 weeks)
Shift: Days. Monday-Friday
Pay: $36.19 - $54.28 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicants relevant experience.
Summary
SLP position for pediatrics acute care and adult outpatient, including modified barium swallow studies. We would prefer candidates with more than 2-3 years of experience due to the unique nature of our SLP needs to cross all departments. The 0.8 posting is mainly for PEDS.
This position encompasses a diverse caseload including Pediatrics Acute Care and Adult Outpatient services with responsibilities that also include conducting modified barium swallow studies.
Minimum Requirements
Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.
Current certification with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies to practice Speech Pathology required.
Basic Life Support BLS Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Preferred
At least 2-3 years of experience.

Speech Language Pathologist
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients speech, language, voice, and other related abilities.

Provide extensive education to patients, their families, and caregivers regarding their communication or swallowing disorder prognosis, therapy techniques, and home practice strategies.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, e.g., physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupation therapists, audiologists, teachers, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
