SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
The job of Speech Pathologist is done for the purpose/s of assessing students' speech development level; providing information for program development and student placement; improving students' performance; and providing information on child development and/or issues on specific students to instructional personnel.

JOB REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS
Skills to apply assessment instruments, interpret test data, communicate effectively.
Knowledge of assessment instruments and their application, relevant education codes state and district
policies.
Abilities to sit for prolonged periods, complete a case study and develop an individual education plan, work
independently, be flexible and work under time constraints, work effectively with staff, parents, students
and community. Significant physical abilities include lifting/carrying, reaching/handling/fingering,
talking/hearing conversation and other sounds, near/far visual acuity.
Licensure for speech therapy, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, Valid Driver's License and proof of
insurability.
TERM OF WORK
10 month certificated employee with an assignment of 185* working days and paid according to certificated salary schedule plus a 15% responsibility factor.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Valid CA Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential Letter of Interest Résumé Three letters of recommendation (MUST contain signature & MUST be no more than three years old) Copy of CBEST (if applicable) Exam Results for the following, if applicable: -CBEST -MSAT -RICA -PRAXIS/SSAT -CSET Program currently enrolled in, if applicable: -Pre-Intern -Intern -Induction (BTSA) Official Transcripts, from all Colleges & Universities attended - Must be legible for proper screening *All documents submitted are used to determine if applicant is eligible for an interview. Therefore, it is to your benefit to attach all applicable materials to your electronic application. TRANSFER REQUESTS: CUSD Teachers MUST attach a copy of the required credential to the electronic application; this is the only required attachment.
FRINGE BENEFITS: Certificated: District contributes up to $10,000.00 for single employees, $17,500 for Employee plus one, and $21,500 for family medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
