Speech-Language Pathologist
The position of a Speech-Language Pathologist will be available at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. The deadline for submitting an application is 4:00 pm., June 26, 2026, or until the position is filled.
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Plan and provide speech-language pathology services to students with speech, voice, or language disorders. Assess students and provide therapeutic intervention to eliminate or reduce problems or impairments that interfere with their students' ability to derive full benefit from the educational program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist License granted by the State Board of Examiners for
Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Bachelor's Degree
Valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate
Bilingual Preferred
EQUIPMENT USED: Standard testing equipment; standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; Assistive Technology equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours. Frequent standing, stooping, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Work inside may work outside; regular exposure to noise. Regular light lifting and carrying (under 15 pounds), occasional heaving lifting (45 pounds or more), and positioning of students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; assist non-ambulatory students and lift and move adaptive and other classroom equipment. Exposure to biological hazards. May require districtwide travel.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: 2026-2027 School Year
SALARY: Based on Board-approved salary scale for 2026-2027 school year (stipend and 1st year signing bonus based on experience)
