Position Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Elwood Community School Corporation

Reports To: Director of Special Education

Position Overview:

Elwood Community School Corporation is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality speech and language services to students across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educational teams.
  • Provide direct and consultative services in individual and group settings.
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical standards of practice.
  • Assist with yearly hearing screenings.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Indiana State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and as part of a collaborative team.
