Position: Speech Language Pathologist-Geriatric

Salary Range: $39.50-$44 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday with weekend rotation

Facility: 82 bed long-term care facility

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at our 82 bed long-term care facility. As a Speech Language Pathologist-Geriatric, you will be responsible for providing speech therapy services to our elderly residents to improve their communication and swallowing abilities. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $39.50-$44 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents' communication and swallowing abilities

- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and resident goals

- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills

- Monitor resident progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans

- Provide education and training to residents, family members, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care for residents

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program

- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist

- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

- Experience working with geriatric population preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
