Speech-Language Pathologist
Position Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for working with students with speech, communication, and feeding difficulties.
The SLP reports directly to the Coordinator of Therapeutic Services. This is an exempt position.
Candidates must hold current New York State Education Department (NYSED) certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and review student records.
- Evaluate student progress and prepare progress reports.
- Assess students' communication skills.
- Plan, organize, and provide speech and language therapy services.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Meet with parents and teachers regarding students' treatment plans.
- Train and instruct assigned support staff on feeding plans and prescribed treatments.
- Provide written documentation and educational materials to students, teachers, and families.
- Make recommendations and referrals as appropriate.
- Research treatment methods and available resources.
- Maintain professional development through workshops and continuing education.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Immediate start for the 2026-2027 summer session with continued placement through the 2026-2027 school year.
