Position Purpose:
All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI's vision of providing the region's best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.
The incumbent shall be responsible for providing a full range of Speech and Language Pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. With each patient encounter, the incumbent shall use AIDET, perform hand hygiene, assists with positioning patient for comfort and pain management, and performs environment check prior to leaving patient's room and/or maintains a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of a Master's Degree program, or foreign equivalent, in Speech & Language Pathology.
Licensure: Current Arizona License for Speech & Language Pathology
Certification: BLS and AED through the American Heart Association
Certificate of Clinical Competency (or eligible)
Experience: Recent experience working with an adult and geriatric population
Preferences
Education/Experience: Serving people with physical disabilities is desirable.

Exposure Category: Category II: Expected duties have possible, but not routine, potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues
Work Requirements
The Incumbent shall have the ability to lift and transfer patients and equipment, have the ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and communicate to provide therapeutic interventions.
