Responsibilities


Position Summary:


The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible to provide complete diagnostic assessment and therapeutic procedures for patients who are suspected of having or demonstrate communication, language, cognitive and/or dysphagia difficulties. The assessment and treatment procedures initiated will be in alignment toward patient care plan goals.


+ This person must implement the spirit and philosophy of the Adrian Dominican Sisters and will ensure that the rights of the patient and/or family are safeguarded (by observation and documentation).


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


+ Entry level accepted.

+ Completed all accredited education requirements to be in possession of a valid license & in good standing with ASHA, enabling them to practice as an Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Nevada.

+ Ability to communicate effectively utilizing computer; verbally and in writing in English.

+ Ability to perform basic functions of Microsoft Office.

+ LIC SLP= Licensed Speech Language Pathology in State of NV with CT ASHA; completion of ASHA within 12 months of hire date for transfers or new grads.

+ CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support - AHA


Preferred Qualifications:


+ One (1) year of hospital based, acute care practice.

+ Completed post graduate education, or possesses certification or CEU's in acute care, geriatrics, head & neck cancer, voice, swallow & MBS studies, pediatrics, NICU & neurology or any other clinically relevant coursework/seminars.

+ Advanced experience with computer software programs and clinical documentation in Hospital based practice.

+ Multi-lingual: Spanish, Tagalog.
