Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Days | Hermiston, OR
Schedule: 5x8s, 40 hours/week
A respected community hospital in Eastern Oregon is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join its interdisciplinary care team. This is a strong opportunity for an Oregon-licensed SLP who enjoys a mixed caseload and wants to work in a supportive hospital-based setting.
The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, swallowing, hearing, and oral motor disorders. This role may include both adult and pediatric patients, with pediatric experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive, dysphagia, hearing, and oral motor disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other interdisciplinary team members
Provide patient and family education with professionalism, empathy, and confidence
Document care accurately; EPIC experience is helpful but not required
Support adult and pediatric populations as assigned
Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
Current Oregon Speech Pathology license
Current BLS certification
Open to CFY candidates
No prior experience required
Preferred: 2+ years of SLP experience
Preferred: hospital experience
Highly preferred: pediatric experience
Bonus: feeding and dysphagia experience
