    We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist (SLP) to provide high-quality, patient-centered therapy services in the home setting. In this role, you will help patients achieve their highest possible level of function and independence prior to discharge.

    Position Summary

    Under the supervision of the Manager, the Speech Therapist performs therapy evaluations and delivers treatment services to patients in their homes. Care is provided in accordance with professional practice standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive speech therapy evaluations in the home setting

    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals

    • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions

    • Evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate

    • Complete accurate point-of-care documentation

    • Maintain working knowledge of regulations, payers, and home health requirements

    • Participate as an effective member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team

    • Engage in professional development activities within the department and community

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Master's Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program

    Experience:

    • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience required

    • Home Health or Acute Care experience preferred

    Licensure & Certification:

    • Current Speech Therapist license in the State of Maryland

    • Current BLS (CPR) certification

    • Valid driver's license (any state)

    • Access to a reliable personal vehicle

    • Compliance with vehicle insurance requirements

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology treatment interventions

    • Ability to assess patients and develop effective treatment plans

    • Analytical skills to evaluate progress and adjust care as needed

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to educate and support patients and families

    • Strong documentation and organizational skills

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and patient interaction

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

    • Exposure to typical healthcare environments, including blood and body fluids

    • Strong concentration and communication skills required
