This contract position offers the opportunity to partner closely with educators to support academic and social success for students with diverse communication needs. This is an in-person role-remote and VOCO service providers will not be considered. You'll be entering a warm, inclusive environment just outside Concord, CA, where you can develop your expertise and enjoy daily collaboration with other professionals motivated to see students thrive. Candidates should be ready for a two-step interview process (initial virtual interview, followed by an in-person meeting).
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or related field
Current California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status
Experience in school-based settings or with high school-aged students preferred
Strong assessment, IEP development, and therapy skills for high school population
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Commitment to in-person work (remote/VOCO is not available for this role)
Responsibilities:
Assess and treat high school students with speech, language, and communication needs
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
Maintain accurate therapy records and required documentation
Participate fully in school meetings, interprofessional collaborations, and IEP teams
Engage students with evidence-based practice interventions
