Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Brief Description:

Join our early childhood education team to provide speech-language services in an inclusive classroom setting. Work with a variety of preschool students including those who use augmentative and alternative communication aids and devices.

Other duties include but are not limited to CPSE documentation IEP development evaluations collaboration with building department leadership educators and caregivers.

The speech-language therapist will provide an inclusive approach to speech and language acquisition and development for students by providing direct therapy consultation services and speech improvement sessions to enable all children to access and progress in the general education curriculum.

Ideal candidates will show experience with diverse cultures anti-racist approaches to the particular work of a speech therapist and a commitment to working with the school community towards the success of all students.

Position includes supervision available for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) follows the school calendar and hours, full benefits and annual materials budget.

The Ithaca City School District is a K-12 district in grades 3-12. Please provide examples of how you have used or your vision for using digital technology in instruction. Also, please provide evidence of how you stay current with students' digital world.

Required Qualifications:

Possession of New York State teacher certification as Speech and Hearing Handicapped and licensure as Speech Language Pathologist required or qualify to obtain it by the first date of employment. This requires at least a Bachelors degree. Licensed teachers from other states may qualify for reciprocity.

Salary Range: $56,918 - $119,338, 10-month full-time basis Based on the 2026-27 ITA step and lane salary grid.
