Cooperative Educational Service Agency (CESA) #12 is seeking an energetic, driven, team focused individual for the position of speech/language pathologist on our itinerant services team. This position will be a school-year, full time position, serving multiple school districts. CESA #12 provides cooperative educational services to 17 school districts across the northwestern corner of Wisconsin, impacting approximately 14,000 students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The agency is seeking a self-starter who is ready to serve a diverse, rural northern Wisconsin learning community.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Completing appropriate assessments of students for possible speech/language therapy needs and reporting assessment results to IEP team • Assuming responsibility for the speech and language portions of student IEPs as indicated • Maintaining progress records and annual IEPs, involving parents in speech and language programs as prescribed • Consulting and communicating with classroom teachers • Participating in Early Childhood and Kindergarten screening processes as directed • Completing all requirements related to submitting Medicaid reimbursement claims for Speech/Language evaluations and services • Collaborating with district and school staff to support and implement evidence-based instructional practices

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to follow through and complete all work assignments, including special education paperwork, within expected timelines • Exceptional diagnostic and evaluation skills • Ability to problem solve and manage work time effectively and efficiently • Establish and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with students, parents, administrators, and all school district staff • Knowledge of special education program requirements (federal, state and local) and age appropriate evidence-based instructional methods • Ability to travel to school districts within the CESA 12 region

Requirements:

Applicants must hold a Master's degree in a related field, as well as a valid Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Licensure as a Speech/Language Therapist, or the ability to obtain that license.
