    Role Description

    \n

    This full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role is based at MERRIMAC HEIGHTS ACADEMY INC in Merrimac, MA. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for students, using evidence-based practices. Daily responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing direct therapy in individual and small group settings. The role also involves collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate communication goals into classroom activities and educational plans, including contributing to IEPs. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring progress, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, and supporting school-wide initiatives that promote effective communication and language-based learning.

    Qualifications

    \n

    • \n
    • skills in Speech Therapy and Speech interventions to support a wide range of student communication needs.
    • \n
    • possess skills in assessing and treating Communication Disorders and Language Disorders across diverse age and ability levels.
    • \n
    • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.
    • \n
    • Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist in Massachusetts and ASHA CCC-SLP or certification eligibility.
    • \n
    • Experience working with school-aged learners, including familiarity with IEP development and special education processes.
    • \n
    • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
    • \n
    • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to individual student needs and maintain professionalism in a school environment.
