Position Overview
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time, school-based opportunity in
Miami, Florida.
This position is ideal for an SLP looking for a flexible schedule while making a meaningful impact on students' communication skills, academic development, and overall success. The SLP will work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers to deliver individualized speech and language services in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language screenings, evaluations, and assessments as appropriate.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals.
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
Address articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, and other communication needs.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate therapy documentation and service records.
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, special education staff, and related service providers.
Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and communication supports.
Utilize evidence-based assessment and intervention strategies.
Maintain compliance with school, state, and federal requirements.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology license required or eligibility to obtain.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
Clinical Fellows may be considered based on eligibility and client requirements.
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
