A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Full Time, Field Based, Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist in Morristown, NJ!

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide high-quality home health services to patients in need of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy. The SLP will assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans while collaborating closely with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal functional outcomes.

Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $50/hr
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (No weekends)

• Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

  Patient Assessment & Care Planning

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriateness for home care services
  • Evaluate swallowing, communication, and cognitive abilities as indicated
  • Identify patient learning needs and monitor progress toward established goals
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to develop individualized plans of care

  Treatment Implementation

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services in accordance with physician orders
  • Provide interventions for communication, safe swallowing, cognitive training, and functional restoration
  • Develop and implement therapeutic programs to maximize patient independence and outcomes
  • Revise treatment plans based on patient progress and physician directives

  Safety & Clinical Environment

  • Assess home and social environments and provide education to ensure patient safety
  • Identify clinical risks and adjust treatment plans accordingly
  • Follow universal infection control and safety protocols

  Patient & Family Education

  • Utilize age-appropriate teaching methods for patients and caregivers
  • Evaluate and revise education plans as needed
  • Document all educational interventions and tools used

  Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies
  • Ensure compliance with home health regulations, insurance requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and care coordination
  • Maintain productivity standards and follow scheduling procedures

  Care Coordination & Communication

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide discharge planning and referral coordination as needed

  Home Health Speech-Language Pathologist Requirements

  Education:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  Licensure & Certification:

  • Active New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license

  Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in acute care, subacute care, or home health setting
  • Home health experience required
