Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient – Pediatric
Assignment Length: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience  

Schedule:

• Full-time, 40 hours/week, onsite (Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST)
• Will consider candidates available only 3 days/week
• Part-time afternoon/evening outpatient hours also considered

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join its renowned pediatric care team. This clinician will provide both inpatient and outpatient services to infants and children with neurological, developmental, and medically complex communication and feeding/swallowing disorders. The SLP will conduct comprehensive evaluations, deliver evidence-based interventions, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support families through education and care planning. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation and pediatric medical-based settings is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct speech, language, cognitive-communication, and feeding/swallowing evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.
• Perform and interpret video fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.
• Provide ongoing outpatient speech and language therapy as part of the care continuum.
• Document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and recommendations in accordance with hospital standards.
• Communicate findings clearly to families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Deliver caregiver education and collaborate with medical, therapeutic, and educational professionals to support patient outcomes.
• Refer patients to appropriate services as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Minimum 1 year of licensed experience (2+ years strongly preferred)
• Active Speech-Language Pathology license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Pediatric medical-based experience required
• Experience with inpatient rehabilitation preferred
