Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Speech Language Pathologist role based in Plainview, NY. The Speech Language Pathologist will provide evaluation and treatment services to children with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting progress, and communicating regularly with caregivers, educators, and the interdisciplinary therapy team. The role involves using play-based and sensory-informed approaches to support functional communication, feeding, and swallowing skills as appropriate. The Speech Language Pathologist will also participate in team meetings, contribute to goal setting, and ensure services align with CPSE requirements and insurance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Speech Therapy and Speech, with experience providing pediatric services in clinical or school-based settings.
• \n
• Candidates should possess skills in managing Dysphagia, including assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding and swallowing difficulties.
• \n
• Candidates should possess skills in Communication Disorders, including evaluation and intervention for articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication.
• \n
• Candidates should possess skills in Language Disorders, including receptive and expressive language assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
• \n
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• \n
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; CFs with strong pediatric interest are welcome to apply.
• \n
• Experience working with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurodevelopmental conditions is highly beneficial.
• \n
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and communicate clearly with families.
