- Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) is a nationally recognized healthcare leader with 205 beds, serving as the region's Level II Trauma Center and tertiary referral hospital, and is home to the Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute, Portneuf Cancer Center, Portneuf Medical Group and Portneuf Air Rescue. PMC has a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, an adult intensive care unit, nationally recognized orthopedic services, a full suite of cardiac care, Center of Excellence recognized surgeons, imaging, primary and specialty care.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the analysis and the use of purposeful activity with individuals who are limited by development and disorders of speech, voice, swallowing, and related language and hearing disorders to prevent or modify the disorders or to assist individuals in cognition, language, and communication skills.
- The practice of speech-language pathology encompasses evaluation, treatment, consultation, and education of patients as well as caregivers.
- Performs a comprehensive evaluation and develops a Plan of Care.
- Implements the Plan of Care.
- Completes effective, professional, and timely documentation.
- Educates patients, families, caregivers, and team members.
